Really thrilled to be returning and joining the line up 06/07/24 @Semley Festival Dorset
It’s a fabulous festival opening on the Friday night and then closes 11.30pm Saturday night.
I’ll be opening my set with some solo mellow cello music from my “At the turning of the World” concert program including some new releases and using sampling and looping technology to multi track harmonies and rhythms.
I will then be joined by my long standing colleague BJ Cole, pedal steel guitarist of famed repute.
Review
“Music is not meant to be static, real music takes flight; it is an expression both within and outside time. Few musicians appreciate this as much as BJ Cole and Emily Burridge. When they perform established pieces of music they don’t just recite them; their interpretations have the all important extras: poignancy, conviction and weight”.
BJ’s uniquely eclectic style of playing first made an impact on the British music scene in the early 1970’s. His iconic performance on Elton John’s classic ‘Tiny Dancer’ put him in place as the go-to pedal steel player for numerous major artists and bands.
We’ll be performing some of our program from the “Back into the Blue” release. Available on all digital platforms add us to your stream / download:
