New single release 16/12/22  – “Pastoral Light” – was born out of a special commission to mark the passing of a loved one and the emotion of this is reflected in the opening phrases with the cello score reaching into lofty spheres. Scored for featured solo cello, piano and ambient synthesized orchestration. A recording of a dawn chorus made on Easter day 2020, becomes an integral part of the musical canvas. This field recording was made in the first lock down and as far as human activity is concerned it was quite possibly the quietest dawn in decades. “Pastoral Light” Mellow cello Music inspired by nature. The music seeks to promote the beauty of our natural world.
