“At the turning of the World” is an exciting and innovative program

Emily Burridge is a virtuoso cellist with renowned deft improvisational and composing skills and creates sublime music which fluidly crosses genres. Her music reflects her love of our natural environment and in the hands of Emily the cello becomes a voice for her personal experiences as she amalgamates melodies, rhythms and sounds from her field recordings within some of the compositions.

Following on from the success of Emily’s earlier production for solo cello performance “Bach & music from Out of the Blue” she has now created a new program, “At the Turning of the World” which features compositions from her 2024 album release and on request also includes either a whole suite, or movements from the D minor suite for unaccompanied cello by JS Bach.  “Bach & At the turning of the World”

Her programs typically appeal to a broad age range (from late teens to 60 +).

“At the turning of the World” is published and available on all streaming and download platforms.

many new compositions included within the program.
